Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic and non-communicable disease characterized by high blood glucose levels has multiple aetiologies. According to the IDF Atlas recent edition, Global prevalence of diabetes was 9.3% currently, India holds second position globally with 77 million adults living in 2030 it expected cross 101 million. This due interaction factors leading significant economic burden countries health system. over long term causes micro vascular macro complications, that were sometimes difficult manage, necessitating need for self-care practices prevent progression disease. Objective: To assess among type II mellitus patients rural urban training canters. Methodology: The study carried out Type attending Non-communicable (NCD) clinic Rural Urban center Sri Ramachandra medical college research institute, Chennai – 600116. After obtaining informed consent, socio-demographic details collected information on assessed using revised Summary Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire.
